Novyanna Bajracharya
FOUNDER and CEO
Novyanna is a junior at a STEM high school with a passion for computational biology, genetics, and artificial intelligence. As the founder of RAIN, she is dedicated to expanding access to research-based STEM education. Her award-winning machine learning research in genetics earned First Place at the Washington State Science and Engineering Fair, and she has competed in Science Olympiad for over five years. She hopes to pursue a career in computational genomics and use AI to advance healthcare and personalized medicine.

Meha Shrestha
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Meha is a junior in high school and is a firm believer that with the right education, every student can succeed. She brings her growing expertise of the STEM field to RAIN. She has multiple podium finishes at prestigious science competitions like Science Olympiad and the Technology Student Association and is also taking multiple Advanced Placement courses at school including AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, and AP Biology. In the future she hopes to pursue a career in engineering. Outside of academics, she is an avid cross country and track athlete and loves spending time with her friends.

Pranav Shakya
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Pranav Shakya is currently in 10th grade in the class of 2028 (RC University of Washington). He has experience in teaching Python on multiple occasions, and is passionate about both math and computer science. Excluding academics, he play basketball at the park, while also running track and cross country. Through RAIN, he aims to teach lessons that are educational, useful, and, most importantly, fun with optimized lesson plans and a strong curriculum.

Chinmayi Buddhavarapu
OUTREACH LEAD
This is Chinmayi, a junior at a STEM high school who’s always learned best through hands-on, project-based experiences. That’s why she is excited about the RAIN initiative; it’s a chance to share that learning style with younger students in a creative, engaging way.
This year, she had the pleasure of working on an independent research project that expanded her love for translational medicine and research which also got her an award at a local science fair. She also participates in FBLA (her favorite event being Healthcare Administration) and volunteers at a hospital which have both cultivated her appreciation and love for healthcare and its complexities. Aside from science, she plays the violin and loves singing and spending time with friends and family - all while having lots of good food.

Vainavi Balija
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
Vainavi Balija is a junior at a STEM high school with a strong interest in sciences. Her goal in this initiative to create an environement where curiosity thrives and learning from the very first step is enoucraged. With the support from RAIN and the right mindset shes believes that anyone can grow and succeed. She has experience mentoring younger students and supporting science-based learning. In the future, Vainavi hopes to pursue a career in the biomedical field, working at the intersection of healthcare and technology to drive innovation.

Saanvi Pola
COMMUNICATIONS LEAD
Saanvi is a junior with a strong interest in medicine, biology, and public health. She serves as the president of her school’s HOSA chapter, where she helps lead health science initiatives and encourage student involvement in healthcare education. Outside of school, she tutors students and is passionate about making education more accessible to others. She also enjoys art alongside her academic interests.
